Event #1 - Sip and Stitch!
The Finger Lakes region is full of wineries, but one of the nicest is right here in town: 6 Mile Creek Vinyards. And not only that, but it has one of the best balconies in greater Ithaca as it catches all of the afternoon sun. And if the weather is miserable, there is a brightly lit indoor area with tables and chairs.
Now imagine yourself amongst a group of friendly knitters, sitting in the sun, laughing and working on your latest project. Did you know it's BYOF? (bring your own food). So there is a lovely spread of hummus, cheese, crackers and bread to snack upon. And perhaps we've all chipped in and bought a couple of bottles to sample. Or maybe you prefer to taste a number of different wines and so you chose to buy by the glass. What ever the case, we've never had a bad time up at the vinyards. You should come, too!
Date: Undecided, but it's got to be a Sunday. Let's try for 4/14 or 4/8. Vote or suggest a date in the comments section.
Event #2 - Yarn Shop Crawl to Skaneateles!
If you haven't been there yet, let's go. Skaneateles is on the cutest towns in the Finger Lakes. And can you believe it? There are two yarn shops up there (at least that's what google says), and one on the way in Geneva. We could do a little shopping and grab lunch at one of those scenic waterfront restaurants.
A date has not been suggested, so start thinking about when you'd like to do a little traveling, eating, shopping and hanging with the gals!

great ideas!
i think we should aim to have the sip & stitch on 4/14. i'll bring a loaf of crusty bread and perhaps some manchego cheese...mmmmmm!
i would also love to go to skaneateles but when?!?! maybe early may??
I am so glad that this was suggested last night! Sundays work best for me...maybe sometime in early May? We would be most assured of agreeable weather, methinks. I also make fabulous hummus...
Sounds great...Skaneateles is one of my favorite towns! I hate to admit it, but I secretly enjoy Doug's Fish Fry when I'm feeling like a bad vegetarian. Sundays are good for me too, though maybe not too soon. I have various things happening the next few Sundays. May would be best.
